Have you ever run a brick-and-mortar business and thought, ‘I know I need to restock, do inventory, and open the store, but I really just want to post on social media?’ Probably not. But I have.
I used to own a houseplant shop, and after opening, I quickly realized I cared more about building the TikTok than running the register. So I sold the plants and kept the part I actually loved.
Now I spend all day thinking about social media so you don’t have to.
I work with brick-and-mortar businesses to build a social media presence that’s more than a catalog of products – one that actually shows your business’s personality: the people, the story, the little things that make customers walk through your door.
How I went from influencer to marketer
Before the plant shop, I spent almost a decade running a vegetable gardening blog that pulled in millions of views a month and grew into a multiple six-figure income, back before TikTok even existed.
Between that blog and the plant shop’s TikTok, I’ve grown accounts to a combined following of over 75,000, mostly through trial, error, and paying close attention to what actually works.
But I was starting to get burned out. Then one day it clicked: I can use the same approach that grew my personal brands to help real brick-and-mortar businesses.
Growing multiple accounts from scratch has given me a perspective most social media managers don’t have.
My client success stories
I’ve run the social media for a local retail store since it opened just over a year ago, growing it to roughly 9,500 followers across TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, with monthly views ranging from 60,000 to 600,000 depending on what catches on.
And with my newest client, I’ve tripled her monthly views in just three months, grown her new followers from single digits a month to 30+, and launched a brand-new Instagram that’s already gaining momentum.
It’s satisfying not only to see my clients have success but I continue to learn what’s working on Facebook vs Instagram vs other social platforms.
Work with me
As a solo marketer, I am only taking on a handful of clients at a time, but I also have a passion for teaching and sharing what I know. That’s why I started sharing on this blog and my personal Facebook and Instagram.
I’m just getting started sharing tips for marketing your business on social media, but keep an eye on new articles and future offerings that will help whether you want to do your own social media or start a social media managing business.
