A Lifestyle Blog (?)
I have a few blogs and generally agree with the advice to niche down and keep your content focused on one subject or audience. But I couldn’t decide what to do with this blog.
It was a blog about blogging for a while. Then, I was like – no that’s too saturated and I’m not into teaching blogging anyway. Then I was going to do digital marketing but quickly decided that was not the right business for me.
Sometimes, I want to write about the Pinterest technique I’m using that’s working, and sometimes I want to write about the totally adorable idea I had for the kids’ birthday party.
Or I might want to write about starting a drop-ship business or maybe all of the things I’ve made from junk I found on the farm. I don’t want a whole blog for those things, but I also can’t keep my mouth (via blog) shut.
So I decided to do the thing that we’re not supposed to do. Just blog about all the things. Maybe it’s not Google friendly…okay, it’s definitely not Google friendly…but neither is changing your niche all the time.
So this is what I’m currently doing.
Some will find my blog posts helpful and not mind that my whole site isn’t dedicated to one subject. Some may get annoyed with me and go away.
Thanks for stopping by either way!

The internet is a big place, and it’s easy to get lost in the world wide web.
There are so many things to do, how do you know where to start?
- Is blogging right for your business?
- Which social media platforms should you be on and how do you manage those accounts?
- Do you need an email list and what do you send them?
It’s a full-time job just learning how to do all the things not to mention actually doing them. Add to that running a business and having a personal life…it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and let your digital marketing slide down the priority list.
What is digital marketing?
Digital marketing is everything you do to promote your business online. So that includes posting on social media, optimizing for search engines, publishing blog posts, sending emails, making YouTube videos, and anything else you do to reach your customers on the internet.
You don’t have to be doing every one of these things, but you do need to be promoting your business where your customers are. That means you need to have a really good idea of who you’re targeting so you can prioritize your marketing efforts.
Do you need to be online?
Yes. A thousand times, yes.
Without a doubt, your business needs an online presence. Whether you’re a soda shop in a small town or a roofer in a big city, your customers are searching for you online. I guarantee it.
The whole world is using the internet to search and find service providers for their daily needs. No one uses a phone book anymore, and few people are reading the ads in the newspaper.
If you’re not online, you’re losing business. I’m certain of it.
So what’s a small business owner to do?
That’s where I come in. Digital marketing is my jam!
If I could spend all day doing one thing, it would be promoting online businesses. It’s just what I love to do!
Let’s do this together
The more I’ve learned and practiced digital marketing, the more I see opportunities for small business owners to grow their business online. So that’s why I decided to expand into coaching and marketing management.
I offer:
- Digital marketing strategy
- Content creation and editing
- Coaching/training
- Online advertising services

About Me
I’ve been in the digital marketing business since 2015 starting with my own gardening blog. Initially, it was just a hobby to write about growing vegetables while still working my day job as a veterinarian.
It wasn’t long until I was pretty obsessed with my blog, and I was spending as much time working on it as possible. But it’s not just the writing, it’s all the aspects of creating content and marketing online that really piqued my interest.
My gardening blog took off quickly once I implemented the right strategies, and it wasn’t long until it was earning thousands of dollars every month. The income from the blog inspired me to invest in learning and doing more with my online business.
I started taking courses to learn SEO, social media marketing, affiliate marketing, and email marketing. I built multiple websites using WordPress, published hundreds of online articles, began selling digital products, created online courses, sales funnels, landing pages, built social media accounts, hired virtual assistants, and I haven’t stopped!
In 2018, my blog reached over 1 million users, and it’s been growing ever since. In 2019, the income from my blog officially surpassed my income as a veterinarian.
I love my blog and I love gardening, but I’ve felt called to help others achieve the same success online.
So I began offering coaching, website/social media analysis, and digital marketing strategy to bloggers and small business owners to help them reach more people online.
Additionally, I started a travel blog celebrating the fun and beauty that surrounds Lake Hartwell which is near and dear to my hometown. The blog was created to support the Lake Hartwell community by promoting events, activities, and local businesses.
My skills
I am really good at analyzing your current online presence. That includes all your current digital marketing efforts:
- website design and user experience
- social media (page and content)
- blog content and promotion
- paid promotions
- search engine optimization
After the analysis, I create a detailed digital marketing strategy that is perfectly in line with your goals. It’s a step by step map of what to do and where to invest your time and money.
A lot of what I recommend will be things that you can do yourself, but if you find that any one aspect is too overwhelming, I can also help you outsource some tasks.
My team
There’s no way I can do what I do all on my own, so I am constantly bringing on new team members.
My team of virtual assistants includes:
- Pinterest manager
- Content manager
- Search analyst
- WordPress manager
- Email manager
